Captain Bishop was my Great Great Grandfather and a member of the 50th Virginia, Company D, 2nd Army Corp,  ANV.  At the Memorial service at his gravesite, April 7th, 2002 67 family members and friends gathered in his honor. But the greatest honor went to the 9 members of the camp who traveled 700 miles to help restore his gravesite. It was an effort I will always be grateful for.
